XPENG charging time calculator

Check published charging windows or estimate an AC session with your settings.

Your setup

Plan your recharge

Choose your XPENG to fill in its battery size, or enter your own values below.

For an electric car (BEV). Plug-in hybrids need their verified usable electric battery size; use a published time or a charging receipt instead.

Estimate includes a 10% charging-loss allowance. This is an adjustable assumption, not a measured XPENG value.

Extra settings

The starting allowance is 10% for wallbox charging, or 20% at 2.3 kW. Cold batteries and low power can increase losses. These are illustrative settings, not a calibration for your XPENG. Why losses vary (ADAC)

Before you calculate

Enter your battery size in kWh, or choose a version with a known battery size.

Make sense of the numbers

How long does it take to charge an XPENG?

The useful answer starts with your exact version, charger and battery window. A published fast-charge time and a home-charging estimate describe different sessions.

  1. 1

Choose the version, not just the model name

Choose your model and the version with the same battery and charger as your car. Location and year help distinguish specifications; your current country does not change the charging formula. You can also enter your own battery size for a home-charging estimate.

  2. 2

Match the starting and target percentages

For home charging, enter the current and target battery percentages. For published times, choose one of the documented sessions. A 20–80% DC time cannot be stretched into a 10–80% time.

  3. 3

Treat charger power as a limit

At home, the vehicle, supply and cable must support the same power and phases. For DC charging, maximum power is a peak; calculating time from that peak alone would miss the changing charging rate.

Frequently asked questions

XPENG charging time questions

Practical answers to help you choose the right inputs and read your result.

Will a 22 kW charger charge my XPENG at 22 kW?

Only if the vehicle, cable and installation support that power with compatible phases. The onboard charger sets the AC limit: a 22 kW station does not raise it. XPENG's European model pages highlight DC peaks (up to 451 kW for the G6) but not always the AC limit, so check your exact version and confirm the effective input power for an estimate.

Can I work out 10–80% from a published 20–80% time?

Not reliably. DC power changes during charging, so a rule of three cannot recreate the missing part of the session. This calculator shows exact documented windows and marks other DC windows unavailable until a compatible measured profile is available.

Why does charging from 80% to 100% take longer than expected?

On DC, the battery management system lowers the charging power as the battery fills, so the last 20% can take about as long as the previous 50%. That is why XPENG publishes 10–80% or 20–80% times rather than 0–100%. Home-charging estimates near 100% are rough energy estimates that exclude final slowdown, so allow extra time or use an exact published session.

What do I need for a home-charging estimate?

Enter battery size, current percentage, target percentage and AC charging power. Choosing an XPENG version fills its listed battery size and a suggested power, which you can adjust to the power your car actually receives. The estimate starts with an illustrative charging-loss allowance of 10% for wallbox charging, or 20% at 2.3 kW. These are adjustable assumptions, not measured XPENG values. Extra settings let you change them.

Can I use this for an XPENG PowerX or other range-extender model?

You can consult an admitted published charging window for the selected range-extender version. A battery-percentage energy estimate needs a known usable electric window and reserve, which are not established for the current EREV entries. DC support must also be checked for the exact version; an unknown specification is not proof of support.
